Sarah's First ER Trip.

Well on Monday, May 21st, Sarah had her first trip to the ER.

Around 5 pm, I was changing her diaper, and noticed that Sarah had a rash all over her face, arms and tummy, and she felt really hot. I took her temperature and it was 99.2, so Kyle and I decided that we needed to call her pediatrician. Of course, nothing happens during regular office house, EVER. When I called the office, I got the answering service, who told me someone would call me back. The children's health care nurse called me back, and asked about the rash & slight fever. I told her the rash was on Sarah's face arms and tummy, and had now moved to her hands. The nurse told me that she thought I needed to take Sarah to the ER because rashes at her age could be very bad. After I spoke with the nurse, Sarah's pedi doctor called back also, who also believed that I needed to take her to the hospital. So off we go to Children's Health care of Atlanta- Scottish Rite. We got there and got checked in. We only waited about an hour before we were seen. We saw the NP, Julie who was awesome. She answered all of our questions, and addressed all of our concerns.  She told us that it was possibly hand foot and mouth disease, that if the rash & her temp got worse that was probably what it was. If the rash got better over night and her temp was gone, then it was probably a reaction to something that got on her skin, like perfume, something from outside, anything really. We were in and out of Children's Health care in about 2 hours time, and got awesome care for Sarah.
I prayed the whole night that nothing would come of the rash, and that it would be gone come the next morning. When we got up the next morning, it was only on her face, which was awesome. It's slowly gone away over the past couple of days. Her temperature is gone too! I'm so happy that nothing was bad wrong with her!!

I will post her 3 month update in about a week. :)
